Fall in love in fall – Surprise Proposal in Karuizawa
The location? Romantic Karuizawa, deep in autumn colors.
Getting in touch with him in India was… let’s just say, messages came in fits and starts. Planning meetings? Just quick chats and a few texts.
We pitched our surprise plan — he liked it… mostly. On the morning of the big day, we got a message: “Change of plans…” 😱 Midnight thoughts, maybe? But right before the proposal, he decided to stick with our plan. Fair enough — choosing is hard!
Crowds everywhere meant the only chance was first thing in the morning. We sent him step-by-step instructions: how to get her out, how to convince her… every little detail.
They were ready, staying overnight, and his three friends were joining! He briefed them so they could help. We were a bit worried about it.
Morning came. A 10-minute walk from the parking lot, another 5 to the bridge — our meeting spot. Weather? Clouds moved, sun came out. Perfect.
I said “Hello,” and boom — surprise started. He was so excited he didn’t even listen to me, and the proposal kicked off at a totally unexpected spot. Yep, even we were surprised.
But it worked. Tears of joy, a sparkling diamond, and a perfect autumn memory.
