Surprised Proposal in Mt Fuji | Our First Couple with Kneel Shot Japan

Since we started Kneel Shot Japan, this was our very first couple — and we’d love to share how their story unfolded.
Mr. O reached out to us on WhatsApp about a week before his planned proposal date. Fortunately, we were available that day, and he wanted to make a surprised proposal at Mt. Fuji — one of the most romantic locations in Japan.
We suggested several locations based on his travel schedule and accessibility.
He finally chose a quiet beach by Lake Yamanaka, where Mt. Fuji rises beautifully in the background — the perfect romantic setting.
Before the day, we had discussed the timing and agreed it would be best to wait until the sun moved into a better position for lighting — a smart choice for great photos!
They arrived at the lake by bus just before noon.
At that time, Mt. Fuji was almost completely hidden behind clouds, with only the lower slopes visible.
Mr. O sent us a message on WhatsApp, feeling a little worried:
“It’s so cloudy today… do you think we’ll be able to see Mt. Fuji later?”
We replied honestly, “The forecast says it might get worse in the afternoon… but let’s hope for the best!”
After arriving, some time passed and the couple got hungry. They went to a nearby diner to grab ramen and gyoza, and we started to worry that this might delay the schedule.
But to our surprise, they showed up right on time for the planned moment — full, happy, and ready for the proposal! 😄
At around 1 PM, the moment was ready.
We were waiting at the designated point, staying in touch secretly through WhatsApp and exchanging photos to confirm locations.
When the couple approached, we greeted them with a cheerful “Hi!” and began a casual photo session — pretending it was just a normal shoot.
Then, at the perfect spot — the exact point I had indicated to him with a discreet signal — he knelt down and proposed.
✨ And at that very moment… something incredible happened. ✨
The clouds that had been hiding Mt. Fuji formed a small opening, revealing the outline of the summit for just a brief moment — a tiny miracle that made the scene even more unforgettable.
What a perfect and magical moment!

It was a beautiful, heartfelt experience — one we’ll never forget.
